a very, very, wise decision. face it, we all know this BSE MRR policy is nothing more than a legal tool to trade the TSE Prion. the USA mad cow feed ban has failed terribly, yet it is touting as the save all of mad cow disease in the USA. when the BSE GBR risk assessments for each country was replaced by the BSE MRR, and this only after that fateful day the USA lost it's BSE gold card i.e. the fake story that went around for years that the USA was BSE free, when Marsh found that mink were infected with TME, from feeding them 95%+ dead stock down cows. so imo, not only South Korea, but every country should seriously check the TSE Prion surveillance, testing, feed regs, especially since the outbreak of TSE Prion disease in camels in Algeria, and the massive outbreak of cwd tse prion here and abroad, that continues to spread, and the fact science shows now that cwd and scrapie tse prion can transmit to pigs by the oral route, some serious changes need to be made in Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 589.2000 [21 CFR 589.2000], Animal Proteins Prohibited in Ruminant Feed. This regulation is intended to prevent the establishment and amplification of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE). FDA, USDA, APHIS, FSIS, et al have failed to follow the requirements of this regulation; products being manufactured and distributed have flagrantly violated by the tonnage and fed out into commerce across the Nation, and this is Fact. see;

*** Spraker suggested an interesting explanation for the occurrence of CWD. The deer pens at the Foot Hills Campus were built some 30-40 years ago by a Dr. Bob Davis. At or abut that time, allegedly, some scrapie work was conducted at this site. When deer were introduced to the pens they occupied ground that had previously been occupied by sheep.
